The summer program at Maine Township High School District 207 offers students opportunities to gain academic credit, receive enrichment or remediation, and explore new interests. Summer session courses taken for credit are acceptable toward graduation.
Synchronous classes meet virtually with daily live interaction. Classes that meet synchronously run from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day with a 30 minute break. Teachers may blend some asynchronous work as well, but students are expected to be available during the scheduled class time and attend all synchronous lessons as assigned by the teacher. Attendance will be taken daily. If a student is not able to attend a live session, the student needs to make arrangements with the teacher to make up the learning experience.
Please note the following important dates:
- Registration for 10th, 11th, 12th graders (e.g. 9th, 10th, and 11th grade in 2021-2022) will open at 7:30 a.m. on February 14th, 2022.
- Registration for 9th graders (e.g. 8th grader in 2021-2022) will open at 7:30 a.m. on February 22nd, 2022.

Asynchronous classes meet together virtually on the first day of classes. For the remainder of the course, the learning does not require real-time interaction. Teachers are available for support at designated times. This format requires strong self-management skills from students.
